Meet The Tillery's

Lenard Tillery Jr. and Lisa’s blissful marital union began on June 10, 1989. To this union, six amazing children were born (Lauren, LaKaley, Lenard III, Lindsey, Lexie and LeNae). They faithfully served their late pastor for 26 years and are currently the founders of The Example Church in Baker, Louisiana where Pastor and Lady Tillery minister.

Lenard and Lisa were both born and educated in New Orleans, Louisiana. As divine destiny would have it, their journeys crossed when they met at a bible study while attending college in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. God’s anointing and assignment directed them to passionately work in multiple ministries as outreach directors, cell group leaders, marriage retreat organizers, conference speakers,’ pastoral assistants, and anointed soul winners.

Lady Lisa Tillery enjoys being a wife, mother, and motivational speaker. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in accounting, and also earned a Master of Business Administration degree.

Pastor Lenard Tillery enjoys time with his family and writing. He is the author of two books, “What is Man?’ and “Not Too Easy.” He received his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and when he answered the call to Pastor, he went back to college to earn his master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling (Marriage and Family cognate).
